Below are details about the RM 967 Maintenance Project.
The barricades have been set as of Aug. 9 and work is anticipated to begin next week. Please use caution when driving in this construction zone.
Area: From Goforth Road to I-35 Southbound Frontage Road
Precinct 4: Commissioner Walt Smith
Description: This project is a roadway maintenance project consisting of fully rehabilitating the existing roadway, widening shoulders, adding left turn lanes, and culvert extensions and replacements. To accommodate traffic during each culvert construction, the Contractor will implement 24-hour continued service of one-lane, two-way traffic control using flaggers until the construction of each culvert is complete. Once the culverts are completed, the Contractor will begin the roadway rehabilitation phase of the project, utilizing 24-hour continued service of one lane, two-way traffic control using portable traffic signals. The Contractor will then perform final surface paving and striping to complete the project.
Project Team: BGE was the Design Engineer. Hunter Industries, Ltd. is the Contractor.

Funding: Texas Department of Transportation, Hays County Road Bond Funds and City of Buda, TX – City Government
Target construction start: August 14, 2023
