Introduction

The Hays County Tax Office is the centralized collection office constitutionally directed to assess and collect all ad valorem tax accounts as identified and valued by the Hays Central Appraisal District. The office also collects fees for title and registration
of motor vehicles, on behalf of the State of Texas. The office also collects fees for titles and registration of motor vehicles within the County for the state.
