Welcome to the Hays County Transportation Department.  This department is responsible for maintaining and improving county roads, county road signs and rights-of-way (ROW). 

Mission Statement: The department provides the citizens of Hays County with a safe, effective and cost-efficient system of roadways as well as addressing concerns for the environment and quality of life in planning and maintaining the road system. The Department works with other county departments, offices and political subdivisions to provide well-managed and customer-oriented government services.
