Justice of the Peace - Evictions

What is an eviction? (From the Texas Tenant Advisor website)

An eviction is a lawsuit filed by a landlord to remove people and belongings from the landlord’s property. In Texas law, these are also called  “forcible entry and detainer” or “forcible detainer” suits. Hundreds are filed daily in Texas justice courts (also called justice of the peace or J.P. courts).
