    John Saenz

    Captain, Corrections Bureau

    Captain John Saenz was promoted to Captain of the Corrections Bureau in February 2022. He began his career in law enforcement with the Hays County Sheriff’s Office in 1996 as a corrections officer. During his career, which exceeds 25 years of service to Hays County, he has held the positions of Corrections Officer, Shift Corporal, Shift Sergeant, Lieutenant of Jail Operations, Support Services and now Captain, Corrections Bureau.


    As a Corrections Bureau Captain, he oversees four jail shifts comprised of 132 employees.
